SONGWRITING, SPOKEN WORD
& POETRY WORKSHOP

The Prince George’s Cultural Arts Foundation (PGCAF) invites all middle school, high school students, young adults and adults to a Poetry, Spoken Word and Conscious Rap workshop and master class. Participants are encouraged to come and share their art in a supportive, progressive, artistic atmosphere. The workshop and master class will be conducted by The CrossRhodes featuring award winning, Grammy nominated artist and songwriter Raheem DeVaughn.

SPOKEN WORD POETRY FINAL COMPETITION
& SHOWCASE

After the workshop, PGCAF will host the Lake Arbor Jazz Spoken Word Poetry Final Competition & Showcase. Student finalists will compete for cash, prizes and an opportunity to perform at the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival. A panel of local poets and celebrity judges will be on hand.
